Valentine's Day | Wearing Red ConfidenceFebruary 09, 2016
How are you guys getting Valentine ready? Are you excited for the weekend, I know I am (super-duper excited!!!). I told you that I am all hearts and flowers in this post ;)
Red definitely is the color of the season…
Most of us love the color of love, red, but wearing it with confidence can be a daunting task, from picking the right shade to match your skin tone to being careful to not look tacky, there’s all sorts of intricacies involved. So in this post, I would like to show how you can effortlessly add red to your look, be stylish, and still keep it simple – wearing your red confidence!
I picked a red mini-skirt for a cocktail date with the hubs. Since I am kinda bored of the usual black, white or cream combo (with red) I decided to go with a navy blue blouse to compliment the red skirt – it just looks more feminine. I added a bit of glamour to this simple outfit with a silver braided belt and an antique rhodium-plated chain with peach and opal crystals (is that pretty or what!). To finish off the look (and be date-night ready) I paired this outfit with a rhinestone embellished T-strap sandal. It was a bit chilly outside so I quickly put on a sheer stocking right before I stepped out the door.
There you have it, a look that is cute, romantic and feminine, all at the same time! You can easily recreate this look for any special occasion, just rummage through your closet and see how you rock that red!!!
So what are you waiting for? This Valentine’s day, give red a chance and if there’s no Valentine there’s always a Galentine! :)
