Spring Fever | Wardrobe Essentials | White on WhiteApril 04, 2016
Thanks to Fred Meyer stores for sponsoring this post! Styling and all opinions are my own.
A week ago, I posted about my love for spring, cherry blossom and white dresses. This week, continuing in on that spring fever, I want to show you a super casual white on white look that I shopped for from the Fred Meyer store.
As I said in this post, white is fresh and carefree, and makes for a perfect weekend outfit color. Though I normally steer clear from wearing too much white (worried sick it will get dirty), I took my chances and dressed up in all white for a weekend outing in downtown Portland (and sure enough, it was super fun)! I put on a flirty ruffle shirt (slightly tucked it in) with flared white pants (though I am more of a skinny jeans kinda gal, I love to experiment, plus these pants were calling my name :)). Wore a suede fringe vest on top to add a bit of an edge, a bright colored hat for that perfect amount of pop of color on an all-white ensemble, and slid into my most comfortable and stylish oxford shoes; all set and ready to walk miles and miles to explore the city. I am definitely embracing the white on white trend this year and adding it to one of my many favorite personal styles.
What’s your favorite way to wear white?
A few spring (and summer) essentials in every wardrobe…
Ruffle Shirt: Feminine and classy
Fringe Vest: Edgy and boho
Fedora Hat: Chic and fun (and hides a bad hair day ;))
Oxford Shoes: Casual, chic and oh-so-comfortable
Flared Jeans: Well just because, no seriously, it’s a great addition!
If you said Fred Meyer to me about 8 months ago, I would have said Fred who? My first introduction to the store was last summer, when we were RV tripping in Alaska and stocked up on all our supplies from the Fred Meyer store (including the very warm fleece blanket that kept us warm in the unusually cold summer weather up in Denali). Right after our vacation, when we moved into our Seattle home, I was so glad to find a Fred Meyer here as it sure is one of my go to stores for groceries, however, I had never thought of shopping for clothes from there (a supermarket). But, my entire perspective changed (as you can tell) when I was approached to do a fashion post for Fred Meyer and I went looking for clothes and shoes in their store – I was pleasantly surprised by their collection (and prices; for example, these unbelievably comfy shoes were just $14, beat that!). I am definitely hooked, and it’s too bad that now I will spend hours in their clothing department every time I do groceries (shakeshead!).
Have you ever shopped for clothes or accessories from Fred Meyer stores? If not, definitely stop by at least once to find out if you too will be impressed (just like me!).
