Valentine's Day Gift Guide (For Him, Her & You) ft. Seattle Premium Outlets | Self-Love & Self-Care

February 07, 2017

Where is your favorite place to shop at? Mine hands down has to be at the premium outlets…
1) They have the best deals ever and I always score great discounts (and additional bargains, thank you premium outlet coupons) on everything I buy. 2) The number of options at these outlet malls is mind boggling, I could spend hours (or even days, mind you - I have a record of shopping for 24 hrs straight one thanksgiving :D) 3) And I can come home with dozens of shopping bags without actually breaking my bank. Need I say more? ;)

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I am pretty sure most of you (including myself) are trying to pick up that-perfect-gift for that special someone, for your gal pals or even for yourself (why not, never underestimate the power of self-love and self-care, more on that below)! But that’s not as easy as it sounds now, is it? It’s a herculean task to say the least, so for some quick tips on choosing the right gift, check out my post here.

And speaking of self-love and self-care, I do want to spend a few minutes talking about it as it is one-of-those most-important-yet-most-neglected aspects of one's life (and yes, I am guilty of it too!). We are all absolutely amazing people in that we spend all the time, effort and money taking care and doting love on our near and dear ones but put ourselves all the way at the very end of the to-do (priority) list. I know it is the sweetest thing to do for others but doing so at our own cost serves little purpose, as they say, ‘Self-care is not selfish, you cannot serve from an empty vessel’. So let’s love ourselves unconditionally no matter what our situation in life is, despite all the failures, successes, weaknesses and strengths. This season of Love, let's give ourselves every ounce of LOVE and attention we deserve and nourish our mind, body and soul... And no, it doesn’t have to be Valentine’s Day to love ourselves and care for ourselves but we have got to start somewhere, right? Go ahead and buy yourself a gift and pamper yourself, you deserve it! Remember, self-love and self-care is a necessity and not a luxury.

"She made a promise to herself to hold her own well-being sacred."

“The relationship with yourself sets the tone for every other relationship you have.”
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”

Now getting back to the topic of gifts itself, unlike other times when the hubs and I shop for each other’s gifts separately, this year we decided to take a Valentine’s Day shopping trip to the Seattle Premium Outlets together and pick out what we like for each other. I must admit, it was a ton of fun - trying on plenty of different things, clicking crazy pictures as we shopped and simply goofing around, we totally made a romantic day of it! And I am sharing a few V-Day gift ideas from the outlet mall in today’s post.

Seattle Premium Outlets mall is a popular shopping destination among both Seattleites and our neighborly Canadians who drive all the way from Vancouver just to shop here, no kidding. With over 130 designer brands, there is no dearth of options to empty your wallet (and in case you are still not there yet, then the Tulalip Resort Casino right next to the mall will certainly help you get that job done, haha).

What’s your favorite V-Day gift to give and receive? Now let’s not get  all cheesy on this one! ;)
