After having hopelessly fallen in love with the Swiss Alps during our incredible Eurotrip in 2012, visiting the Bavarian Alps during our Eurotrip 2016 was way up on our agenda (you know, kill-yourself-if-we-didn’t-do-it kinda deal!). Some extensive research (and ogling at google images) later, Berchtesgaden, a German town located in the midst of the Bavarian Alps made its way onto our list. This town is about 2 hours drive from Munich and just a few miles away from the Austrian border.
